Neverness to Everness (NTE) Launch Guide: S-Rank Selector & Pull Recommendations

Developed by Hotta Studio under Perfect World, the supernatural urban open-world RPG Neverness to Everness (NTE) has garnered over 35 million pre-registrations globally. While the Global server is slated to launch next week on April 29th, the Chinese (CN) server has already officially launched today, April 23rd! The game is now live across six major platforms: PC, Android, iOS, Mac, HarmonyOS, and PS5, featuring full cross-platform data progression.

With the CN server paving the way, the two most pressing questions for Day 1 players are: Who should you pick for your 1-out-of-6 S-Rank Selector? and Should you pull for Nanally on her 90-pull Limited Banner?

I. Banner Mechanics Quick Overview

II. Limited Rate-Up Character: Nanally (Anima Main DPS)

📖 Background Story

Nanally Collins is a partner at the Eibon Antique Shop and proudly calls herself the “First Generation of the Collins Family—the future greatest family in Hethlot.” Once known as the notorious “little bully” of the Bridge Area streets, she originally tried to pick a fight with the Eibon Antique Shop. Instead, she ended up being held back to work off her debt. In just one month, she transformed from a troublemaker into the shop’s number one star.

She has participated in major anomaly containment operations, boasting a perfect win record. In her daily life, she is obsessed with her family revitalization plan, loves crunchy snacks, and shares the exact same tail-care spray as Mint.

⚔️ Attributes & Meta Strength

• Element: Anima (Lightning/Anima Mixed Damage)
• Role: High-Mobility Mid-Range Main DPS, Anti-Gravity Roamer, Burst AOE
• Core Mechanics: Her E Skill “Ghost Walk” allows her to walk in anti-gravity, moving freely in the air and on walls—making her an unmatched god-tier character for overworld exploration. Her basic attacks come with a mini-grouping effect, and her Ultimate summons an off-hand assistant to fight alongside her.
• Launch Tier: Absolute T0 on Day 1. She boasts the highest numerical multipliers among Main DPS characters.

💎 Pull Recommendation

Highly Recommended. The Limited Banner has a 90-pull hard pity that “never loses the 50/50” (you are guaranteed to get Nanally). Pity carries over, and the mathematical expectation is around 54 pulls. Hitting specific pull milestones also grants cosmetic rewards. Free-to-play (F2P) players will have enough resources to guarantee her.

III. Standard S-Rank Characters Breakdown (6 Options)

1️⃣ Jiuyuan (Anima Ranged Main DPS)

📖 Background Story

Jiuyuan is an elite courier and acting manager at Sterry Delivery, operating under the codename “Nightingale.” A former top agent for the ETD, she left after a certain incident to join the delivery company, navigating the city’s light and dark sides in her own way.

She is Hathor’s mentor, having taught her everything about abilities and combat. She also shares a complicated past with Fadia, having once crossed paths as “escort and heavy felon.”

⚔️ Attributes & Meta Strength

• Element: Anima (Ranged Anomaly Damage)
• Role: High-Burst Main DPS, Damage over Time (DoT), Crowd Control
• Core Mechanics: Centered around her “Fatal Rose Pact” DoT—the 5th hit of her basic attack inflicts a 5-second bleed. Her Ultimate, “Final Settlement,” unleashes wide-range traversing shots before detonating for massive AoE damage.
• Launch Tier: The absolute highest priority for the Standard Selector. She has massive AoE grouping capabilities, making her highly versatile for team comps. Unlocking her Awakening 1 (A1) provides AoE healing, allowing her to sub in as a healer.

💎 Pull Recommendation

First Priority for Selector. She is the Best-in-Slot (BiS) teammate for Nanally, and fits perfectly into Chiz and Baicang teams.

2️⃣ Sakiri (Occult Support)

📖 Background Story

Sakiri is a clerk at the Eibon Antique Shop who claims to be “the most amazing Sakiri in Eibon.” She is the universally recognized “little bully” of the shop. Raised in the antique shop by the owner “Zero,” she loves playing pranks on customers. Her refrigerator is covered in custom rules she wrote herself.

Her ability, “Ghost Catching Game,” summons the ancient Taotie “Onimaru”—usually taking the form of a massive red-and-black hammer, which devours enemies in combat.

⚔️ Attributes & Meta Strength

• Element: Occult (Crowd Control / Support)
• Role: Grouping Master, Hard CC, Team Damage Buffer
• Core Mechanics: Her summon, “Onimaru,” can forcefully group enemies, suspend them in the air, and devour weaker mobs. After casting her Ultimate, she provides a team-wide ATK buff based on her own base ATK. At Awakening 4 (A4), the conversion rate jumps from 30% to 60%, drastically spiking her support capabilities.
• Launch Tier: The only S-Rank Support in the game right now. Combining enemy grouping and ATK buffs, her value is second only to Jiuyuan.

💎 Pull Recommendation

Second Priority for Selector. You can choose between Sakiri and Mint on the Beginner Banner. If you chose Mint there, Sakiri should be your top consideration for the Standard Selector.

3️⃣ Fadia (Soul Support / Tank)

📖 Background Story

Fadia is a member of ETD’s 4th Restraint Squad. She once encountered Jiuyuan as a “heavy felon” being escorted. Later imprisoned on Ghroth Island, she was eventually pardoned by the ETD and drafted into the 4th Squad.

⚔️ Attributes & Meta Strength

• Element: Soul (Magic Damage)
• Role: Tank + Healing Support, All-rounder Sustain
• Core Mechanics: Fadia has two tactical skills: Skill 1 “Shadow Impact” (Cone AoE magic damage) and Skill 2 “Soul Link” (Binds to a teammate, sharing 30% of their damage taken and generating a shield for 6 seconds). Her Talent makes enemies hit by “Shadow Impact” share the damage Fadia takes.
• Launch Tier: Widely rated as a T0 must-have support. She provides the strongest survivability among Standard characters and is a staple from early game to endgame.

💎 Pull Recommendation

High Priority. Tied with Jiuyuan and Sakiri as top-tier Standard picks. If your team lacks a sustain/survival unit, Fadia is an irreplaceable choice.

4️⃣ Hathor (Phase Melee DPS)

📖 Background Story

Hathor is the ace messenger for Sterry Delivery—tall, glamorous, with silver hair and white wings. She once suffered severe ability runaway but was vouched for and trained by her “Teacher” (Jiuyuan). She is calm and speaks little, appearing aloof to new members, but is genuinely sincere and strictly keeps her promises.

• Role: High-Mobility Melee Burst DPS, High Combo
• Core Mechanics: “Flash Delivery” stacking mechanic—Basic attacks and skills grant stacks (up to 6). Each stack increases ATK by 8%. At max stacks, her skills are enhanced.
• Launch Tier: Excellent burst damage and flexible dashes. She provides a massive qualitative leap for Phase-based teams.

💎 Pull Recommendation

Medium Priority. Hathor is currently the only S-Rank Phase character in the game. She can flexibly serve as a Main DPS or Sub-DPS.

5️⃣ Baicang (Occult Main DPS)

📖 Background Story

Baicang is the mysterious captain of the ETD’s 4th Restraint Squad. Public details about his past are scarce, but he plays an indispensable, key role in the main storyline.

⚔️ Attributes & Meta Strength

• Element: Occult
• Role: Mid-Range Main DPS, All-rounder, Single-Target Execute + AoE
• Launch Tier: A powerful Standard Main DPS. His damage output is roughly on the same tier as Nanally and Chiz, boasting incredibly strong AoE capabilities.

💎 Pull Recommendation

Lower Priority. While Baicang is a strong DPS, his optimal team composition heavily relies on Daffodil (Dark Breaker), making his BiS team hard to assemble. Without Daffodil, Baicang’s potential is heavily restricted.

6️⃣ Daffodil (Dark Breaker)

📖 Background Story

Daffodil is the Head of Security for the “Eibon” Antique Shop. She has short black-and-blue hair covering one eye and sports a blue flame anomaly tattoo. More of her story is waiting to be uncovered in-game.

⚔️ Attributes & Meta Strength

• Element: Dark (Dark Dual-Wielding DPS)
• Role: Breaker, Reaction Core
• Core Mechanics: Revolves around triggering “Resonance” stacks and break buffs via her support skills. Dark + Anima triggers “Dark Star Explosion” (AoE damage); Dark + Occult triggers “Murky Burn” (DoT). When a target suffers both states, it activates “Dissonance”—draining Poise/Toughness and lowering its max cap.
• Launch Tier: The only dedicated Breaker in the game at launch. She shreds enemy toughness incredibly fast and has a completely unique damage amplification mechanic.

💎 Pull Recommendation

Pick if you have Baicang; otherwise, skip for now. Daffodil’s primary value right now is being the core engine for Baicang’s team. If you aren’t planning to build Baicang, you can hold off on her.

IV. Free Characters Overview

Chiz (S-Rank Lumen Main DPS)

Obtained for free via the “Urban Tycoon” event. You get the base character at Level 18, and at Level 45, you receive a Max-Ascension Chiz + her Signature S-Rank Arc “Thinking Meow”. To level up quickly, clear Urban Leisure dailies, max out Pink Paw Bank, do Tycoon quests, and open your shop early for passive income. You can easily get Chiz in 7–10 days, and maxing her out takes 1–2 months. At max investment, she operates at a T0.5 level—an absolute godsend for F2P players.

Haniel (A-Rank Support)

A free A-Rank support given out just for logging in at launch. She provides a significant ATK buff and is perfect to build for your Team 2.

Haiyue (A-Rank Sub-DPS)

A newly added free A-Rank Anima Sub-DPS, obtainable via the 14-day login event or side quests. She is a mid-range Anima Sub-DPS who provides off-field jellyfish coordinated attacks and AoE slowing CC. Her Ultimate grants team-wide Anima damage and ATK speed buffs. She has a very low investment threshold and makes early progression extremely smooth.

V. Selector Priority Summary

Based on multiple guide sources and the latest Launch Day data, here is the recommended priority for the Standard S-Rank Selector:

Launch Day Gacha Strategy

1. Pull Order: Do 20 pulls on the Beginner Banner for the Guaranteed S-Rank (Mint or Sakiri) ➔ Use free tickets on the Standard Banner for 50 pulls to get the S-Rank Selector ➔ Pull for Nanally on the Limited Banner.
2. Selector Timing: Wait until you’ve exhausted all free launch pulls before picking your Selector to avoid pulling duplicates.
3. Resource Allocation: F2P players should prioritize investing in Nanally (Main DPS), Chiz (Free Max Ascension), and Haniel (Free ATK Buffer). If you happen to pull Jiuyuan, Sakiri, or Fadia, build them immediately.
